# Remote Working Guide
Remote work has numerous advantages. This guide isn't written to focus on the basics such as the upsides of remote work - those are fairly well-discussed.
Remote work, however, is an art that is still being unravelled. There are questions to which there is still no right answer. Most leaders are learning on the go and could likely get a few things wrong. The critical thing though is to document those experiences so that others can learn from them. Most solutions are not a "one-size fits all", but at the same time they offer perspective that can then be adapted to a particular context.
With that background, we chose to explore some important challenges that remote employers and employees are facing. We have condensed our learnings based on our interactions with companies that have successfully scaled remote teams and built successful businesses such as Gitlab, Invision, Hubstaff, Doist, etc. and also based on stories of successful remote workers.
We strive to continuously update these learnings, so if you have some inputs on the below answers, feel free to shoot firstname.lastname@example.org a mail with your thoughts.
The challenges we are exploring are:
- How to manage a remote team?
- How to tackle loneliness?
- How to build culture in a remote team?
- Remote-first or Remote friendly
- Is remote the future?
